7/15/09  Home Runners is now an authorized retailer for Flexi…our new folding scooter. This product is great for anyone owning a plane, boat or rv. Quick, reliable and portable transportation is now available through us. Check out our Flexi page to learn more!

12/27/08  Thank you for our best year ever!!! Despite a more difficult economic environment, Home Runners managed to complete more trips and serve more clients than ever before. Thank you for your support.

5/8/08  We have been nominated for a Beacon of my Neighborhood-Downtown Award from Portland Indie Biz/Buy Local.

4/28/08  Home Runners will open for business in Portsmouth, New Hampshire on Memorial Day Weekend. Initially, we will just be open Thurs, Fri and Saturday nights. Here in Maine, we will also open for the season in Old Orchard Beach on Memorial Day weekend. Prices this year are $25 plus $2/mile and availability is by reservation only. Hope to see you all and have a great, safe summer!

1/4/08  Thank you for a record New Years Eve. We were completely booked with reservations by early evening. The Party Van got off to a great start helping tons of clients get home safely. Everyone dug the coolness of the Party Van..it’s roomier than a limo! Hope to see all of you in the New year!

10/21/07  Thanks to WJAB for our great commercial and playing it lots of times…thats been great! Look for us at the Maine Brewers Festival November 3rd. Thanks to Sprint PCS for sharing their space with us! We have professionally done gift certificates for this year…..so during the holidays be sure to get your favorite drinker a few Home Runners certs!

9/14/07  We have a new price structure: For trips within Portland and surrounding towns the price is now $20 plus $2/mile. Trips originating outside of this area is $30 plus $2/mile. We feel these rates are more fair to those of you going very short distances(ie from the Old Port across the bridge to South Portland) and more fair to us when the clients are going further distances.

9/12/07  Thanks for a great summer! We received well over 1000 calls for trips this summer helping us do more than 30% more than last summer. In addition, we have recently had our commercials played on WBLM and WCYY and had a article written on us in Working Waterfront magazine. Thanks for all the support and look forward to seeing you out over the holidays!

5/25/07  We are again open in OOB with the same pricing as last year. Look for us at the Old Port Festival right on Fore Street..come over and say hi and buy a T shirt! Thanks to everyone for spreading the word about home runners and supporting us through the long winter! 3/19/07  New Years Eve And St. Patty’s were our best 2 nights in our history. Thank you! Also thanks to the Maine Beverage Company for sharing their booth with us this week at the Maine Restuarant Expo at the Civic Center. 9/4/06  Thank you for a great summer!!!!

8/15/06  Home Runners had a great time hanging out at Bay Stock ‘06 at the Maine State Pier this weekend. We showed off our scooters, sold some t-shirts and passed out some biz cards. Thanks to everyone who stopped by. Summer is going great and we now have 13 drivers!

6/18/06  Summer is now in full swing. Business continues to increase for us as more and more people hear about our great service. Every night is an adventure and we are doing our best to keep up with demand… please remember to call 20-30 minutes ahead of when you want to leave so we can handle everyone in a timely manner. We have expanded our Home Runners family to 12 drivers and look to add one or two more. We are creating new partnerships all the time and have a few big deals in the works. If you are a repeat customer, remember to ask for a Premier Membership card. that way you won’t need to sign a contract every time you use us and in addition, you get priority in pick up order.

3/14/06  St Patty’s Day (3/17) will be our one year anniversary! In that time we have helped thousands get home safely and had a blast doing it. Thanks to all of our drivers past and current! Home Runners has partnered with the BRASS(Bar and Restaurant Association of Old Orchard Beach) to bring our service to the Old Orchard Area this summer. Prominently used will be our 2 new Di Blasi Mopeds. These amazing mopeds fold up and fit right in your trunk..enabling one driver to meet you, drive you home and scoot on to the next client…all as a one man team! Home Runners is the subject of a radio documentary being produced by The Salt Institute. Stay tuned for further details as they become available!

1/01/06  New Years Eve was by far our best night to date. We received over 70 phone calls for rides. Thank you very much!

11/07/05  Home Runners is carrying the momentum from our awesome summer into our 1st cold season! Thanks to the help of Brian Borou’s and Nappi Distributors we are getting 50+ poster size ads in the leading bars, clubs and restuarants in the Portland Area. On top of that, look for our 1st radio commercials soon on WBLM. Thanks to all that said “hey!” at the Maine Brewers Fest this past weekend…what a fun day! Thanks to Sprint PCS for lending us their booth space..

9/13/05  Thanks for a great summer! We have enjoyed working private parties, weddings and servicing our ever-expanding client base. Keep an eye out for our new Home Runners/Shipyard Brewery T-shirts. They look great and will be available soon on the website.

7/20/05  Summer is flying by! We continue to set new records for calls, trips and revenue virtually every week. We have responded to increased demand by adding more teams on the busiest nights of the week. Not only is the cost similar to a taxi now…but so is the wait.  And, of course with us, you get your car home as well! Home Runners is proud to announce strategic partnerships with Shipyard Brewing and Mainely Motorsports. Please check out their websites. Look for a short article on Home Runners in the current issue of Port City Life magazine and our ad in the new edition of the Verizon Yellow pages under the “Taxi” section.

4/27/05  Home Runners is growing!  In preparation for the busy summer season and to satisfy our growing client base,  we have taken the next step in expanding our services by being open 7 nights a week. Many customers have been asking for it since day 1.  Now, you and your car can get a safe ride home any night of the week! Also look for our new Billboardz ads in the restrooms of Foreplay, The Stadium and Commercial Street Pub starting this week.

4/17/05  Home Runners has completed its first full month. Notable highlights have included driving Hummers, Mercedes CLK 5000’s, Volvos, Audi’s and other cool cars, meeting all of you and having our website have over 1000 hits. It’s been a blast and thank you for your enthusiasm! Make sure to check out new articles about us in the Metro Magazine and Maine Business magazine. We are definitely making waves! This past week we welcomed to the Home Runners family new drivers Marylou Cook and Glenn Hill. They are both spotless drivers who believe in our objective of making the streets safer for everyone. Also, we are working on plans to expand our service to 7 days a week and expand our hours and territory to Old Orchard/Biddeford/Saco…more on this later. 3/26/05  Home Runners is off and running. Our first week has been a great experience for us. We have gotten our wheels going all over the Portland area as well as participating in events like Full Moon Madness at Margaritas. The reaction to Home Runners has been very positive. In our first week we have filmed a feature story for Channel 13 WGME, done interviews and photo shoots for the current Falmouth/Portland Forecaster as well as for the upcoming edition of the Portland Metro.
